TMBC Music Ministry

Psalm 96:1-2

O sing to the Lord a new song; sing to the Lord, all the earth! Sing to the Lord, bless his name; tell of his salvation from day to day.

While it takes commitment, it is a privilege to be a part of the TMBC Music Ministry.  We welcome singers, musicians, and leaders who feel a call from the Lord to participate in the Music Ministry.  The Music Ministry serves, through songs of praise and worship, to prepare the human heart for the experience of receiving the presence of the Holy Spirit.

Mission – The purpose of the TMBC Choirs is to inspire and establish Christ centered musical participation by leading worship and ushering in the Spirit of God during church services and other related events and activities. Psalm 100 1-2 – Shout joyfully to the Lord, all the earth! Serve the LORD with gladness; Come before Him with joyful singing.

We invite you to prayerfully consider participating in one of the Choir Ministries available at Trinity Missionary Baptist Church.

The Trinity Mass Choir

A combination of the VOT, Women’s, Men’s, and Youth choirs.  The Mass Choir ministers every first Sunday of the month with rehearsals the week prior on Thursday at 6:30 p.m. and Saturday ay 10:00 a.m.  There is only on service on first Sunday at 9:45 a.m.  The Mass Choir is occasionally asked to serve for special services at Trinity for which additional rehearsals may be required.

The Voices of Trinity (VOT)

The VOT Choir is open to those 17 and older and ministers on the third Sunday of each month with rehearsals the week prior on Thursday at 6:30 p.m. and Saturday at 10:00 a.m.  There are two services on third Sundays (7:30 a.m. and 10:45 a.m.) and VOT ministers at both services.  VOT members typically participate in Mass Choir.  The VOT also participates in special services and as part of outreach events.  Additional rehearsal time is generally required to prepare for these.

The Trinity Women’s Choir

Trinity Women’s Choir ministers on the fifth Sunday of each month that has five Sundays.  Again rehearsal is the week prior on Thursday at 6:30 p.m. and Saturday at 10:00 a.m.  There are two services on fifth Sundays (7:30 a.m. and 10:45 a.m.) and the choir ministers at both services.  This choir is open to all women of Trinity.  You do not have to be a member of VOT and/or Mass Choir to participate in this choir.

The Trinity Men’s Choir

Trinity Men’s Choir ministers on the fourth Sunday of each month. Again rehearsal is the week prior on Thursday at 6:30 p.m. and Saturday at 10:00 a.m. There are two services on fourth Sundays (7:30 a.m. and 10:45 a.m.) and the choir ministers at both services. This choir is open to all women of Trinity. You do not have to be a member of VOT and/or Mass Choir to participate in this choir.

The Trinity Youth Choir

Trinity Youth Choir ministers on the 2nd Sunday of each month.  Rehearsal is on the 2nd Saturday at 10:00 a.m. in the Sanctuary.  The choir does its best to minister at both services and is open to all the youth of Trinity.

Aiea Bowl 2023

Aiea Bowl where the Music Ministry went for a fellowship outing on June 24, 2023. A few other members joined us. We had a great time.
